Since its creation in 1994, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.9 million to investigators for promising new research in nutrition and metabolic support.
More than 114 investigators, clinicians, trainees and graduate students have received grant support.
Morethan 117 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles have been published based upon therecipients’ initial work from their Foundation grants.
Several of the Foundation's grantrecipients have received major funding from federal fundingagencies suchas the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration and fromuniversities and foundations to pursue large-scale nutrition researchinitiatives.
Two of the 2016 VarsAward candidates and one of the 2017 Vars Award candidates received Foundationgrants.
