The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) is dedicated to improving patient care by advancing the science and practice of clinical nutrition and metabolism. ASPEN is an interdisciplinary organization whose members are involved in the provision of clinical nutrition therapies. With more than 6,500 members from around the world, we are looking to have a Director of Membership and a Director of Publications join our senior team. 

Director, Membership

The Director, Membership is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and management of ASPEN’s membership and community engagement programs. This includes effective design and leveraging the value of membership to grow the organization across key markets. ASPEN members are dieticians, physicians, pharmacists, nutritionists, and allied health professionals. The Director guides and implements the strategic direction and operations of all membership activities, volunteer and component engagement, recruitment and retention. This position is also responsible for data management and analysis to guide decision-making and inform initiative design throughout the organization.  Successful candidates will have a Bachelor degree and 8+ years publishing experience, including scholarly journal and book development and production, preferably in a non-profit environment.

Director, Publications

The Director, Publications is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and management of the ASPEN publishing program which includes two peer-reviewed journals and other publications that provide value for members and other constituents. This position safeguards the ASPEN brand as the pre-eminent source of content related to nutrition support therapy by promoting high quality and academic integrity. The Director, Publications combines the active oversight and coordination of the editorial, peer review and publisher functions for ASPEN’s journals with the role of overseeing, nurturing and growing the organization’s book publications program. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor degree and 8+ years publishing experience, including scholarly journal and book development and production, preferably in a non-profit environment.
