ASPEN Leaders Meet with FDA Drug Shortages Staff—March 1, 2021
ASPEN leaders and staff recently met with FDA Drug Shortages Staff and the Division of Hepatology and Nutrition to apprise the FDA on how this critical multivitamin shortage is affecting the care of patients receiving parenteral nutrition across the healthcare continuum. The group also discussed measures to mitigate and resolve this shortage. ASPEN continues to work with the FDA, manufacturers of IV multivitamins, other professional healthcare organizations and clinicians to stay up to date on the status of shortages, collaborate to resolve these shortages, and provide resources for managing the shortages.
