A.S.P.E.N. has published information to help
nutrition researchers understand the clinical research "regulatory
landscape." The two reports below describes criteria the
IRBs examine during the process of protocol review and approval, and how IRBs
provide oversight to research in nutrition and other fields.
The Training and Resources in Research Ethics
Offers free training modules on research ethics, regulation and informed consent. Extensive
training on ethical considerations in human subjects research from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health is also available.
Also, the Association of Schools of Public Health offers free training in clinical research ethics.
