Session Proposals for ASPEN24

ASPEN24 Submission Proposals Site is Now Closed

ASPEN24 is designed to showcase the collective expertise of the practitioners and researchers who gather each year to share knowledge and advance the field of clinical nutrition. It features a comprehensive scientific and educational program focusing on the latest research, clinical practice, and technological advances in clinical nutrition.

ASPEN gladly welcomes program proposals on all topics in nutrition support. Program developers should identify topic areas that address needs/gaps in the field and submit proposals that contain a thorough review of the available scientific literature followed by applications to clinical practice as evidenced by the literature.

View instructions for submitting ASPEN24 session proposals.

Tips for Designing Your Education Session:

  • Design sessions to flow from basic science to transnational to bedside implementation of the recommendations including cases and case-based recommendations.
  • Integrate published standards and guidelines into the content to ensure consistent messages are given to clinicians.
  • Include both domestic and international faculty, experts from a variety of facilities, and content targeting neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
  • Integrate active learning for improved learning outcomes. Include methods that increase interactivity, such as professional debates of controversial topics, case presentations, and demonstrations. Any opportunity for hands-on learning is another option.
  • Connect research presented in the session to professional practice.
  • Explain how information presented during the session impacts patient outcomes.
