The A.S.P.E.N. Rhoads Research Foundation funds leading research projects in nutrition and metabolic support. Two large grants for substantial research projects, and two small, limited-project grants are presented annually.

NOTICE: For Grant Year 2010, one new $18,000 grant and two $3,500 small grants will be available
The Maurice Shils, C. Richard Fleming, and Norman Yoshimura Grants are named after individuals who dedicated many years of service to A.SP.E.N. and who made significant contributions to the field of nutrition support. Baxter Health Care and Nestlé Clinical Nutrition endowed the Shils Grant. Abbott Nutrition endowed the Nutrition Research Grant. B. Braun Medical, Inc. funds the Norman Yoshimura Grant. The C. Richard Fleming Grant is funded by the generous donations of A.S.P.E.N. members. The Foundation Grants provide support in amounts from $3,500 up to $25,000 per year. The Maurice Shils and Nutrition Research Grants can be renewed for a second year of funding, assuming satisfactory progress.
