| New Clinical Guidelines Released: Nutrition Support of Hospitalized Pediatric Patients with Obesity |
The A.S.P.E.N. Clinical Guidelines: Nutrition Support of Hospitalized Pediatric Patients with Obesity are now available online! These guidelines provide recommendations for maintaining the nutrition status of the obese child to ensure optimal health outcomes.
For obese children, once this condition has been identified, the role of nutrition support is to prevent complications associated with enteral or parenteral feedings.

Nutritional Support of Neonates Supported with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation
Nutrition Support in Adult Acute and Chronic Renal Failure
Also look for Adult Starvation and Disease-Related Malnutrition definition and descriptions coming in the next issue of JPEN. This important document was developed by the International Consensus Guideline Committee and endorsed by the A.S.P.E.N. Board of Directors.

Endorsed by A.S.P.E.N. and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute, the Nestlé Nutrition Institute Enteral Nutrition Fellowship Program provides a core group of medical and surgery subspecialty fellows with intensive one-on-one mentoring and clinical training from recognized leaders in the field while taking part in professional development activities designed to build a national network of nutrition physician leaders. The 2010-2011 Fellowships will be awarded in March 2010 with individual start dates of August and October 2010 and March 2011.

The Dannon Institute will launch its first Academic Mid-Career Nutrition Leadership Institute in Chicago, IL, June 6-9, 2010. The institute will delineate the roles of department chairs/heads, school directors, deans and other academic leaders in nutrition.
