ABOUT THE EDITORS

Ainsley Malone, MS, RD, CNSC, FAND, FASPEN, is a dietitian member of the Nutrition Support Team at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where she is involved in the management of patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition. A certified nutrition support clinician, she serves as a Clinical Practice Consultant to ASPEN. Ms. Malone has served ASPEN in many capacities, most notably as President in 2013.

Liesje Nieman Carney, RD, CSP, LDN, is a Publication Specialist/Clinical Dietitian IV at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. A nationally recognized expert in clinical pediatric nutrition, she has been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Ms. Carney has held leadership roles in the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and in ASPEN.

Amy Long Carrera, MS, RD, CNSC, CWCMS, uses her more than 15 years of clinical nutrition experience in the areas of bariatric, oncology, acute rehab, neonatal and long-term care nutrition in both hospital and corporate settings. She served as Corporate RD and Enteral Product Manager for Shield HealthCare’s for eight years. She now serves as Marketing Manager for Kate Farms near Santa Barbara, CA, as well as Assistant Director, Dietary Services at Windsor Terrace Healthcare Center. She has served as a team leader on several ASPEN task force projects.

Andrew Mays, PharmD, BCNSP, CNSC, is a clinical pharmacy specialist in nutrition support at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He is also a clinical assistant professor at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Mr. Mays served as president of the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists and president of the Mississippi Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He received his PharmD from the University of Mississippi.
