The National Board of Nutrition Support Certification (NBNSC) is an independent credentialing board established in 1984 by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.).

Fall 2013 Dates

First day of the testing period:  September 21, 2013

Last day of the testing period:  October 5, 2013

NBNSC offers computerized testing for all of its certification programs. Click here for a link to a computerized testing demonstration.  Over 800 domestic and international sites are available, with candidates selecting preferred testing locations after registering for the exam. NBNSC certification exams will be offered at LaserGrade testing centers. To search for the site nearest you: click here 

NOTE: You will not be able to select a testing center on the LaserGrade site prior to receiving confirmation that you are registered for the certification exam. 

 

Arrangements for Candidates with Special Needs

Special testing arrangements may be made for special needs individuals by submitting an application, examination fee, and a letter describing the nature of the disability and the special accommodations needed for testing.  Requests for special testing for special needs individuals must be received at least eight weeks before the first day of the testing period.

 

Fees

Application fee for the Certification Examination for Nutrition Support Clinicians:

A.S.P.E.N. Members             $305.00

Non-A.S.P.E.N. Members     $405.00

The reduced registration fee for A.S.P.E.N. members is nontransferable between individuals or within departments/institutions and is available only to those whose dues are paid in full a the time of exam registrations.
