Welcome to MSPEN!!

Greetings from Michigan!  The Michigan Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (MSPEN) is the Michigan state chapter of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.).  As a multidisciplinary professional organization, our mission is to improve patient care by advancing the science and practice of nutrition support therapy.  MSPEN is a very active group with approximately 100 members representing a multidisciplinary group of health care professionals.  MSPEN strives to provide high quality educational opportunities to Michigan nutrition support professionals. This state chapter is one of the strongest in the A.S.P.E.N. organization. The MSPEN annual fall conference provides the highest quality educational sessions on current topics in nutrition support, presented by local and national experts.  We are working diligently to increase member involvement in the chapter and offer valuable educational opportunities to each of our members! 

We are motivated by our members and invite all of you to become more involved with the organization. It is a great way to foster professional development, leadership skills, network, collaborate with other professionals, and give back to the nutrition community. It is also a great way to facilitate involvement at the national level with A.S.P.E.N.! We are always looking to expand MSPEN and enhance the services available to our members, so there are plenty of opportunities to contribute!  There are multiple opportunities to be involved, whether through a board position, participation on a committee, or by making suggestions to the board for new MSPEN activities, or for topics or speakers for the annual fall conference.

If you are an A.S.P.E.N. member and already a member of MSPEN, we thank you for your commitment to this organization!  If you have considered becoming a member of MSPEN, I encourage you to do so as we always welcome new members!  A small registration fee of only $15 per year entitles you to a significant discount on our Fall Conference Registration (last year, the discount was $25).  So, you make back your membership fee plus a little more right away if you attend the Fall Conference as a member rather than a non-member!  If you would like more information about MSPEN, please feel free to contact any of the MSPEN Board Members listed below. Thank you for your commitment to improving nutrition support therapy,and for your commitment to MSPEN!
