Dr. Miller is a graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. She has been with Beaumont's Division of Nutrition and Preventive Medicine since 2000 and is the Medical Director of the Beaumont Weight Control Center. She has published several articles and abstracts on obesity and its association with diabetes, inflammation, metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Miller received recognition from Michigan's Surgeon General, Kimberlydawn Wisdom, M.D., for outstanding performance in disease prevention. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Bariatric Medicine. She serves on the Michigan Department of Community Health and Michigan Quality Improvement Consortium Childhood Obesity Expert Committee, the Michigan Cardiovascular Health Advisory Committee, and the American Board of Bariatric Medicine Recertification Committee.
