Dr Hoovler received his MD degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1992. He completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Naval Medical Center San Diego in 1993 and 1998, respectively, with interim training and service in Aerospace Medicine as a Naval Flight Surgeon. Following three years in general Internal Medicine, he completed fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism in 2003. He is board certified in Nutrition, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism and Internal Medicine.
