SAVE THE DATE: ASPEN Malnutrition Awareness Week: October 4–8, 2021

Malnutrition Awareness Week is an annual, multi-organizational campaign created by ASPEN to:

  • Educate healthcare professionals about early detection and treatment of malnutrition
  • Educate consumers/patients on the importance of discussing their nutritional status with healthcare professionals
  • Increase awareness of nutrition’s role on patient recovery

ASPEN is delighted to collaborate with the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) and the Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) to expand the global reach of Malnutrition Awareness Week. Healthcare professionals, policy makers, influencers, and the public will have the chance to learn more about malnutrition, simultaneously, across geographical borders. While healthcare systems and social problems vary from country to country, we also have much in common, and look to learn from each other and aid each other's efforts. It is to be celebrated that this closer partnership is being forged in 2020, when so many more people are vulnerable to malnutrition because of the devastating impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

ASPEN invites you and your organization to become an  ambassador or corporate sponsor to raise awareness on the consequences of malnutrition and to learn how to intervene.
